Two letters by Beerbohm on stationary from "Villino Chiaro, Rapallo". One, April 11, [1935] to Lady Wedgwood [Iris Veronica Wedgwood,author], writes that his wife is ill, but they both look forward to seeing her and Sir Ralph. The other, Wednesday, no date, to Mr. Bickley apparently accompanied a chapter written by Beerbohm. Bickley was an author and critic.

7" x 4 1/4" autograph album dated 1877-1888, however most entries are from 1878-1879. Of note are a number of pen and ink drawings of high quality, including 3 on Asian themes (one of the HMS Pinafore); an original caligraphed piece of music dedicated to Jessie and one of sailing ships. The signature of Rutherford B. Hayes on a card from the Executive Mansion is tipped in.

Report of the Committee of Claims, to whom was referred the bill from the Senate, for the relief of the heirs of John Paul Jones. [Washington, D.C.] 56 p.

For compensation to Jones' heirs of the ships taken as prize by Jones during the American Revolution in 1779 and confirmed by Congress in 1787, but never paid.

This collection contains bird stamps issued in the United States by the Department of Agriculture and the Department of the Interior, as well as stamps from Mongolia issued depicting birds of North America. A large number of the stamps were issued recently since the 1980s, and they contain images of various kinds of waterfowl, ducks, and other birds native to specific regions of the United States.
